Book Review: Departures by Robin Gunn

" And today I thought the trip on the river seemed like our journey through life. Some parts of the trip are easy floats and some parts we have to paddle over the rough stuff."

These words are so true about our lives. As one girl tries to navigate the waters of transitioning from a young girl to a young woman she deals with several struggles along the way. This is just one of the stories you will get when you dive into Robin Jones Gunn's Departures. This was such an easy read and I really enjoyed sitting down and going through as Christy and Sienna went on separate journeys.

First take a trip with Christy Miller as she ventures back to her home town. After graduation she goes to visit her grandparents to celebrate their wedding anniversary. Along the way she reunites with her crush from her elementary school days. Take the journey with them as they meet and share their new found relationship with Christ.

Then you can journey to a cabin in the woods with Sienna Jensen and her friends as they are all in different stages of being a young adult. Growing up into a young woman is hard for Sienna and she isn't sure she is ready for it. Gain some Godly wisdom as this young girl takes a journey through this phase in life and learns lessons herself.

This is a great book to add to any collection, especially if you have a young teen girl in your family. The best part is the stories don't stop there! Check out all her series that goes along with these two great tales.

If you get a second stop by and rate my review over here.
