This weekend's weather has been A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I love fall. It's my absolute favorite time of year. I love wearing my boots and feeling the crisp air. I love being able to sit outside and enjoy it without dripping in sweat. I love being able to walk out the door without being smacked in the face with the humidity and heat.
So this weekend when I first opened up the door to let our pup out, I was shocked! In a good way! It wasn't the heat smacking me, it was the crisp coolness of our first fall like morning.
Yes we live in the South so we don't quite get the fall weather as soon as others. But this was a nice surprise. :)
We spent it outside for the majority of the weekend. We sat under our huge oak trees for the first time.
We played tag. My hubby and I had a massive tetherball competition. We are talking full contact, giggling and dodging the ball that is supposed to be going in a circle.
We practiced riding our bike without training wheels. It's a work in progress and he's doing great.
We just thoroughly enjoyed this weekend. I love the relaxing weekends we are able to have every once in a while. My hubby was overcoming a recent sickness and my kiddo is fighting allergies. So I'm very thankful when we can stop and relax so they can all recuperate. Course the fall season also brings festivals, trunk or treats, holidays and my favorite one, Christmas.
So while I know that we will more than likely be back to warmer days soon, we will take advantage of these days to the fullest extent.
What's the weather like in your area? Are the leaves changing and cooler weather approaching?

A is for Autumn....

I'm joining up with Marcy over at Ben and Me for another round of blogging through the alphabet. :) I really enjoy this as sometimes I just have a block and can't think of anything to write. I want to make sure I am offering items that can be useful to my readers and those who might stumble upon my site. So, this gives me some inspiration to dig around and find something to write about.
So for today's post I'm writing about my favorite time of year.
Yes. Autumn. EVEN if where I live it doesn't get below 80 degrees typically until November or later. ;-) That's okay. I can still enjoy my Pumpkin Pie Spice coffee creamer, pumpkin spice candle and all the fall activities that come our way.
Like hay rides....
And bouncing on a big pillow...
And fun turkey crafts ;)
Yes these are all from last year but it's something I am looking forward to this year. I can't wait to go to our pumpkin patch here in the next days and share more fall pictures. I love this time of year for the cool weather, great family events, fun times together and the coming Christmas season ;). Yes it is almost Christmas! I think I blinked in January and opened my eyes up in October!!!
What is your favorite time of year? Why? Don't forget to stop by Marcy's site over at Ben and Me and see what other "A" posts are up for today!!

Monday Moments: Voting, Trick Or Treating And I'm Worn Out...
Wow! That was a busy weekend and holy cow we aren't done yet!!! ;-)
I have to first give thanks to God for the new job I was so excited to grab this weekend. I started this weekend and it's looking promising. It will take some balancing out and time to get used to it but it could be wonderful! Super excited.
Then I have to say I went yesterday and after only an hour of waiting I voted! Whew! Glad my vote is in and now all I can do is pray for God to have His way. Praying for the elections, the leaders of this country and that people will go out and vote.
This weekend was a whirlwind of fall fun and activities. We went to Barnes and Noble and got to see Spot the dog and hear about his Halloween party. We went trick or treating Friday night at the nursing home in town and it was so much fun with friends. We also did two library fall festivals this weekend and my son learned how to play Chess. He loved it and spent half the time at the fall festival Saturday playing with the Chess Wizard. ;-)
We also went trick or treating at the mall Saturday night. I think I am crazy! I love doing the fall festivals and know they only come once a year so we try to do as many as we can. I know one day it won't be cool to hang out with Mom anymore so for now we do what we can :-)
Tonight we have another fall party to attend and then trick or treating on Wednesday. What did you do this lovely fall weekend?
I hope you have a wonderful day and week ahead of you and enjoy the lovely weather. For those on the upper East coast, stay safe and batten down the hatches!! Praying for you all!
