About Me

Hiya ! I'm Jen! I'm the writer here at Our Journey and am so thankful you stopped by today. Here you'll find a variety of things going on and I hope you enjoy your time while you're visiting.

Who are you?
I'm a 40 something daughter of the King, wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend. I love cooking, spending time with my family, watching Alabama football, and sharing the thoughts that come together in my mind here. God is my all in all and I want to share everything I can to help others know Him better. 

We are the proud parents of an amazing young man who is called Boo Bear on here. He's very smart, compassionate and energetic. Wish I had some of that crazy energy he has! He's an amazing blessing and we are so honored and thankful that he calls us Mom and Dad. He is navigating this shift into adulthood as we are navigating parenting an adult. 

And of course we can't forget our Golden. She's a loveable, crazy ball of fun as well! Put these two together and laughter is sure to be in midst. This sweet girl passed in 2022 and we now have two boys, one golden and one lab, that are an adventure, to say the least.

I'm a pastor credentialed with the Assemblies of God and love sharing my faith with others. There's topics on everything from homeschooling to reviewing new curriculum and recipes.
