** I received this book free from Waterbrook Multnomah for my review**
I thought I would quickly fall into this book by Sigmund Brouwer. I really tried. The Canary List is about a young girl who has an "ability" to sense good and evil. This makes her wanted by the Catholic church whether that be dead or alive. She has been in and out of foster homes and dealt with all sorts of things children should not have to deal with.
I tried and tried many times to sit down and get into this book but alas, it was not for me. I have read others reviews and that made me want to try to get into it more but I just couldn't. I love Christian thriller fiction novels but this one veered off a little more and didn't immediately draw me in. I never like giving a negative review but I must be honest.
So, since this didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you. If you are interested in it I am having a giveaway for my copy and I will ship it to the winner. I would love for someone to be able to read and get enjoyment out of this book instead of it sitting on my shelf. **Giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EST Wednesday night**
