This week's post is dedicated to my son. He will be having a birthday this weekend and I just wanted to share how thankful I am for him. I am so excited and blessed that God has chosen me to be his Mommy. These past seven years have truly flown by and I keep asking myself where they went. I can tell you where they went.
They have gone in the giggles and laughter that bubbles from this child.
They have gone into the worries that Mommy and Daddy have when he has been so sick.
They have gone into the sleepless nights when his little body was fighting off a sickness or when surgery loomed in front of us.
They have gone into the Monster truck adventures we have taken.
They have gone into learning to ride a bike.
They have gone into the many trips to the park.
They have gone into the tears we have cried over different things.
They have gone into our first broken heart when our friends moved away.
They have gone into our tears, sweat and nerves of moving to a whole new place far from everything Mommy and kiddo have known.
They have gone into the dedication of this child to our Father, while Mommy stood with tears in her eyes and we both dedicated to our God that we would raise him knowing God.
They have gone into the moment in the mall parking lot where he asked Jesus into his heart.
They have gone into the adventures he and Papa have had looking at leaves, talking about science and learning about life together.
They have gone into the laughs and cuddles with Mimi.
They have gone into the fun days swimming with Nana and getting to know her and Poppy better.
They have gone into days in the woods with Grandpa.
They have gone into our first two years of homeschooling adventures.
They have gone into the cuddles, the laughs, the tears, the disappointments and the ups and downs of life. You are so very special to your father and I. We love you and wish the best in all you do. We are so thankful to be called your parents and that God has allowed us to take part of your journey here. Happy Birthday Boo Bear!!! We love you and can't wait to see what God has in store for you in your future!!!
Oh my goodness, Jen. You were right. I needed a tissue. This is a precious post! I can just hear your heart while you were writing this. It needs to be saved, printed out and put into a frame for Jackson. You are such a wonderful Mommy, and you and Bob are doing are great job raising him. We love you all so very much.
