one more week...

One more week till Halloween! I have never thought of this as the devils holiday. He shouldnt get credit for any of it... It has always been a time where we got to pretend to be someone else for the day, go out to neighbors, or church carnvials, have people tell you you look cute and give you free candy! Just for saying trick or treat!! Oh great is that. I hate that the holiday has gotten such a stigma attached to it now that Christians feel they cant have fun with their kids. I will make sure when Jack is old enough he understands some people have taken it way too far but that it really is all about fall, having fun and being a KID!!! I just wish we could all understand that. I am excited because Jackson is having a party at the house next weekend. We are having our playdate group over to have a cook out, let the kids dress up, and have fun! that is what this time is all about. Hope you are all having a blast at your pumpkin patches and carvinals. We had a good time today at the scarecrow contest on the square. Mostly, Jack enjoyed getting to do the horse drawn carriage hay ride thru town. That was neat! Have a great evening and a great weekend! Till next time...
