Tis the Season....

Hi! Another day in Ryantown here... :) We had a wonderful time visiting with Bob's family this past weekend. It was so nice seeing everyone, hanging out and stuffing our faces. LOL Jackson is so spoiled! He is such a sweet heart though. I have to share a story from the other day... Ms. Heather, the librarian, and Jackson are best friends. They sit in the floor at the library and share stories, play puzzles and just have a great time together. The other day she told me a story about my son that I did not know. She and Jackson had gone to go in the library to find a book for storytime. They were walking in and she said Jackson asked her to wait a minute. He walked over to this older gentleman and said, Hi my name is Jackson and I hope you have a great day. He walked away and told Ms. Heather, he looked like he needed someone to say hi to him. Wow... What if we all paid attention to each other as much as an innocent child does. Would I have said hello to that gentleman? Would I have stopped or would I, like so many other times, run thru my day and not pay attention to what is around me? What if that was all that gentleman needed to hear that day was that someone noticed him? Sure, he may have had a wife and family to go home to but what if he didnt? Would you have said anything to him? I honestly don't know if I would have stopped. I wish sometimes I could see life thru his eyes. So innocent and noticing things most people pass by. hmmm.... will I pay more attention next time?
I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I hope you have a wonderful time with your family and friends. I am taking a break while the boys have gone to run an errand and reminiscing about my Christmas's gone by. I miss my grandfathers and grandmother dearly. I still remember when my uncle Jim and Uncle David threatend to shoot Rudolph and me getting so upset. Of course my ninnie set them straight! :)I remember spending Christmas's so excited and loving every minute. I still remember getting on my parents nerves because all I wanted to do was to open presents and couldnt wait for Santa! Please parents, try to remember those days gone by so you can bear with your children now that they dont want to go to bed. :) I love this time of year and hope you do too. Dont let the commercialism surrounding this holiday take away the true meaning for you and yours. Remember why we celebrate this season and what the true meaning is. Love to all.... Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good night!!!
