It is time for Simply Homemaking! If you haven't stopped by then stop by Esther's Blog and check out this great link up opportunity. Thanks Esther for hosting this every Tuesday!!
This week is focused on Heart and Home. Check out some of her great posts. My living room is one area I am trying to work on myself. :o) I have not felt as though I could spontaneously have company over and I don't like that. I want to be able to just invite our friends over short notice if need be and not worry. That is my goal and my project as well. Esther has a great post today to get you in the mood!
I am trying something new here. I have made out a schedule for us to follow everyday {or most everyday LOL} to see how that goes. I have learned quickly that my son does not like arts and crafts and he can sit and do something for about ten minutes. {this makes for a mommy running ragged and out of ideas LOL} I am trying to incorporate science experiments and things that he might like to do so I am open to ideas. He is very smart and loves to learn and do new things. I am trying to nurture this by allowing him to do things while he is in the kitchen with me or helping to clean. This has caused me to be quite creative at times. LOL Making up things for him to be able to do. I am loving this stage of his learning though. Now is the time to feed their minds and help them in every aspect I can. He likes to help me cook dinner and set the table. He also likes to help out wherever he can so I have to find ways to help him.

How do you guys get your children involved when you are maybe doing a task that is not quite age appropriate for them? How do you help them feel included? I try my best but I would love to hear from you guys and your experiences.
Don't forget to stop by Esther's Blog and link up with your home making tips and check out the other great blogs. Have a Blessed Day!
Hi, thanks for the kind words. This week I'm not hosting the Simply Homemaking, because our Heart & Home: Clean Sweep Challenge is taking the place this week. Next week Simply Homemaking will reside at it's normal schedule. :0)Just thought I'd let you know. ;0)
ReplyDeleteYour link up is fine though. Though if you do have any picture of your kitchen project from yesterday or the living room today...it would be wonderful to see your accomplishments!
Glad to hear you've been encouraged! :0)
Much Love & Blessings,
