Book Review: The Corruptible

** I received this book free from Waterbrook Multnomah for my review. All opinions are mine**

I love reading and if you have been hanging around awhile you know that. I chose this book because I love a good mystery novel. I can pretty much read most anything but I have found a few along the way I just could not get into. This was kind of in the middle...

The story is written by one who is very knowledgeable about police work and the behind the scenes details. It is about a private detective who gains a client that is looking for information stolen from his company. The thief is a dirty ex-cop who ends up dead in a sleazy hotel room. The story follows the PI and the police department as they unravel the details surrounding his death and the top secret information that was stolen.

I think I would have enjoyed it more if I could have stayed engrossed in the novel. It is a good  read for most but for me it didn't keep my attention like others I have read before. This is the second book in The Nightwatchmen series and while others have mentioned it didn't matter whether you have read the first one or not, I wonder if it might have held my interest more.

If you get a chance to read it then please do give it a try. As for my tastes it wasn't my favorite but you may fall in love with this series.
