Wrapping up our week...

In our Life... We had a blast on Halloween. We went trick or treating with a new friend and they had such a good time. It was so nice to hang out with friends and enjoy the little ones in costume. I also worked some more on beading projects. I am addicted I think.:) I have some in mind that I want to work on and hopefully will produce some Christmas presents soon.

In Our Homeschool.... This week was nice. We got back on our schedule for homeschool and made some new friends. We had a really great week starting our Thanksgiving Unit Study and working on our Lapbook. I love this time of year and all the stuff we get to do. :) We also started listening to The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I want to drive somewhere just so we can listen to more. :) We typically listen to our audio books in the car so I am ready to go somewhere. LOL We also had a homeschool group park day and met some more wonderful friends. So glad those type of groups exist.

My favorite thing this week... The great days of school we had. It went smooth and we really made progress. I love those days.

What I am cooking... I tried a recipe and made Butternut squash fries. :) They were really yummy. I will try some more tricks to them for next time but they were delish!

What we are reading.... We are not technically "reading" it but The Chronicles of Narnia series was started this week. I am so excited! This is a wonderful book on tape as it is very active and almost like watching a movie. I can't wait to hear more. Have you seen the new movie that came out? I want to watch it with him when we are done but would love to hear reviews...

Picture of this week...
We took Boo Bear to his first experience at a Japanese Hibachi restaurant. :)  We had a great time!

  1. My girls and I adored five books from The Chronicles of Narnia. While quite different and unexpected, I really liked the first book, The Magician's Nephew. I chose to read them aloud and caught myself choking back tears in parts of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Enjoy the audio! We decided to listen to the audio for The Horse and His Boy :)

  2. I am a huge Narnia fan as is my oldest child. We left The Magician's Nephew until the very last and am so glad because it was our least favorite. By the new movie that came out, do you mean Voyage of the Dawn Treader? (BTW - That's my fave book of the series.) I know critics didn't like it, but we thought it was great. As always, it was changed here and there from the book, but the message it delivered was well done.
