The Old School House Magazine's November Issue

While homeschooling is rewarding and exciting it also has those days where things just do not work out right. You wonder what in the world were you thinking and how will you ever make it through the day. I had one of those today... Fortunately, little did I know that there was something in the works that same day to help me get through.

I got the chance to review The Old School House Magazine online and read The Old School House Magazine's November Issue today. It could not have come at a more perfect time for me. First of all this is a wonderful homeschool magazine for mom or dad that is full of encouragement and uplifting ideas for every homeschool family. No matter your style or choice of curriculum you can find what you need by reading through this inspiring magazine. The magazine is free and is loaded with tons of wonderful ideas for you and your family to try on your homeschool journey. Need a fresh idea? You are sure to find them here! You are able to read this magazine online or you can even get it through their free app here .

I sat down at my computer to review this copy for the review crew just as we had had a very rough start to our morning. What should I find at the beginning of the review? A wonderful article entitled It's Time To Wake Up by Deborah Wuehler. This beautiful peace was about being fully awake in life. It was also about trials and tribulations and that even though they will come you have strength and hope in the Lord. I just sat there shaking my head yes, yes, oh yes that's me. Reading that article helped me remember that God is in control and things are going to be okay. I love when those little reminders show up, don't you?

This issue, like the others, is jam packed with wonderful articles that cover everything from experiencing the Amish lifestyle to integrating poetry and music into your homeschool. For me, those two are difficult at times and I want to do them more. These helpful articles share tips on how to use unit studies as well. Discover how to give the gift of learning. Teaching your child how to learn is what Jessica Hulcy shares. Using unit studies is a great way to integrate all of the subjects in an interesting way to your child.

I thoroughly enjoyed looking through this wonderful magazine and learning about all sorts of new curriculum ideas. They have information in there on helpful homeschool sites and conventions as well. If you are a homeschooling family or you are considering homeschooling I highly recommend this to you. Be uplifted and encouraged by learning from others who have gone before you or share it with someone who you know that could use it. I'm really grateful this review came along when it did. It was fabulous timing and a great encouragement to me.
