A New Year, New Project

**Go by and enter the giveaway I have going on right now!!!***

With a new year upon us, it makes me want to start new things like crafts, painting the house and organization methods. I sometimes make resolutions but they honestly don't last very long. So I'm working on trying to have a plan. You know me. If you have been around here any length of time you know I make a plan. I need a plan. I'm a little quirky that way.

So for 2014 I'm working on certain plans to make life less frazzled and more liveable.  You know how it is for mom's and dad's. We run here and there going to school or sports or extracurricular activities. Sometimes we run so much we forget to just stop and enjoy the small everyday moments. That's what I want to do. I want less committments and more time together. I'm working on that now. Making out a plan, or at least an outline, of what the year to come is going to hold. 2013 was not great for us at all. Sure there were great everyday moments but so much change and heartache took place last year. We are all looking forward to a new and fresh year.

All that being said to say I want to be more crafty, for myself, this year. I want to start and actually finish projects. I want to learn new skills and put them to use this year too. One of the skills I learned happened before Christmas. I used it to make some Christmas presents actually.

I learned to make wreaths with tulle. My brother and his wife got the one of the right. They are truly a house divided. My awesome hubby made the letters and the football and I worked the wreath part. I am wanting to make some more wreaths and try new things.

They were really easy and fun to make. I will share more photos and even a tutorial if needed next week. I am thinking Monday may be crafty. What do you think? Do you like to do crafts for yourself? What type of new things do you plan on doing this year? Stop by and share!!!

  1. I think crafty Monday is good. You could even share some of what I've done or doing if you would like. I pray that 2014 is much better for us all than 2013 was.
