Week in Review - Sort of Crazy!!

I love Boo Bear's imagination, really. It comes through in so many ways like his Shark Car you see in the photo :). I love that he can go disappear for 30 minutes or more at a time creating and building things. It's an amazing thing to see. I love that he loves playing and having a good time and it doesn't have to be with anyone else. I always had to have somebody but not him. LOL He's more and more like his daddy everyday. hahahaha

This week was pretty much crazy again. :) I had some ups and downs with the home buying stuff but thankfully it's all calming down and much clearer now. God truly does work things out and if it's meant to be, it will happen in His timing. The inspection on our new house went smoothly yesterday and we are one step closer to our new home!

I also have to say that we visited a new church this week that will be less than 3 miles from our new home. The church we currently attend will be more than 30  miles away when we move. While that makes us sad, the church we visited blew us away! Everyone was welcoming and friendly. My son came out all excited because he said that everyone wanted to be his friend! It's amazing how God works things out and puts you in the right area!

We had lots of fun this week. Have I mentioned HOW MUCH I LOVE the Apologia science? I have? Okay well I'll do it again! :-) We love this curriculum. Here's our experiment this week!

We learned the effects of lava and what they do in our study of Mercury. Really awesome stuff there!

In other subjects we have kept moving right along. Math this week is geometry and that chapter always goes quickly. My kiddo showed me out this week in a math problem in the kitchen. He split something in half before I could get it done in my head. I'm so glad he got his dad and his Papa's knack for dealing with numbers. LOL It sure didn't come from me!

We are also working in our Paces and he did quite well on his tests this week. We had our last bird science class for this month and looking forward to light in our science next month.

Molly and Boo Bear were hard at work this week....

Today we are possibly going to our local art studio to do a glass creation. Tomorrow I need your prayers. :) We are doing a yard sale to hopefully get rid of some of this stuff before moving it. Oh my!

So how did your week go? I hope it was wonderful and I will see you around! Be sure to check out other weeks and link up below!

  1. So glad you found a new church Jenni. It's difficult enough to move let alone find a place that welcomes you 8) Looks like a great Science week!

Enjoy the weekend and be blessed.

  4. My youngest has been spending HOURS building with Legos this past week. He got a Technics kit for Christmas and has been using the motor and RC stuff to make OTHER creations rather than just the truck from the Technic truck. So worth the huge price tag for Technic! Love Apologia too - but sadly my youngest doesn't. :( He prefers a more 'public school' approach!
