Weekly Wrap-up

** Check out the Jamberry Wrap Giveaway going on now**

I'm linking up with Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers, Homegrown Learners and Our 4 Kiddos today to talk about our week.

Hiya! How've you been? It seems like forever since I wrote a weekly wrap up post although it hasn't' been forever. It's been a little wild and crazy here for several weeks. We had a vacation trip we took and I was working doubly hard to get ready for that and it's just been... well... an adventure.

My hubby and I celebrated our 11th anniversary in this past few weeks and we went to visit family for Thanksgiving. So this week was getting back to all the fun of schooling and exciting new Science classes. :)

On the blog homefront I have some exciting things coming up in 2015. I am a part of the Schoolhouse Review Crew again this year! There are so many wonderful things coming in the new year ahead that I get to share with you awesome peeps!

I also shared this week about something that happened to us in the past few weeks. I honestly was surprised and overwhelmed at the response I received from my friends on this post. You can check it out while you're here and see what losing all my decorations taught me

On the school front, we have done a few things differently this week. Boo Bear has discovered a new book series he is enjoying. We are reading this together as a read aloud. It's pretty interesting especially when you get to the build the things at home part ;).

We got back to our regularly scheduled program for some things. Well we started that way out for this week. Does anyone else have to change things up a bit sometimes? I have found a few online programs that he has been working on this week and is really seeming to enjoy them. He's still loving our Apologia Science with lapbook we're doing, but math and other items have been online this week.

One thing he's been into is the Art for Kids Hub site. He's been on this site multiple times and is filling up his sketch pad book he has. He's also learning about new art mediums and they are being added to his Christmas wish list. Where do you like to buy those art items?

I think he's doing awesome. I'm loving all the different pictures he's drawing and I need a bigger refrigerator to host them all :) .

We also started Science classes back this week and he's in Grossology for this month's theme. He's loving it as usual. I love the time it gives me to chat with other Mama's and that he is making friends from these classes.

I have a new experience coming up this weekend. Our town is doing a huge Christmas festival event this weekend and we will be in the parade. That may not seem like much but I'll be playing the keyboard, on the back of a float while it's moving down the road. hmmm. :) I'm excited and nervous. This is definitely a first for me!

So how are you guys doing? Do you take the month of December off or are you still working on school items? I hope you have a fabulous week and thanks for stopping by!!

  4. Happy Anniversary!

My 8 year old LOVES Art for Kids Hub! I buy art supplies from AC Moore with coupons if it's just one or two things, or from Amazon for more than a few items. I've also purchased from Dick Blick when buying a large variety of supplies for a full art curriculum.
