I love natural products to use on my skin, face and in my body. The more research I do on products we use, the more I love that natural product. I recently got the chance to review two products from Koru Naturals. I received the 2 oz bottle of Emu Oil and a fabulous pack of Pure Lanolin Lip Balms.
Koru Naturals offers a variety of products that help you take care of your skin, hair and body. Since they opened the store in 2002, they have been providing products such as the Emu Oil, lip balms, lanolin creams, shampoos and more to people just like you. Whether you're looking for a safe product to use on your entire family or you're in need of help with certain skin conditions, this is a great company to look to.
One of the products I received was the 2 fl oz bottle of Pure Emu Oil. I have to be honest. Until this review, I'd never heard of this product. I did a little research and learned it is quite useful! This is a topical skin moisturizer and is great for eczema, dry skin or just to make you feel silky smooth. I am a diabetic and dry skin is always an issue for me. My son has eczema so he deals with itchy skin and breakouts as well. Winter time always brings out dry hands on me as well. Washing our hands a lot to keep away the germs means skin gets really dried out and cracked.
When I first got the product I was super excited to try it out. I have read all the other comments on the site about usage from other consumers and was anxious to try it out myself. When I say a little goes a long way, I mean just that. It takes very little of this product to make you feel refreshed and better in seconds. Shake the bottle good before using and apply the smallest amount possible. The oil can cause you to feel slick if you use too much. It's always better to use less than you think and go back to get more.
I love how this makes my skin feel. As long as you don't add too much, it soaks in very quickly and leaves a nice refreshing feeling. There's no scent to the oil so you do not have to worry about overpowering your senses. It just leaves a nice refreshed, moisturized feeling overall.
There's a lot of ways you can utilize this product. It is great for conditioning your hair. You can use it as a warm oil treatment for your hair before washing. I plan on trying this one too as I haven't made it to that yet. You can also use it in your bath for a relaxing soak after a busy day of homeschooling, working, being mom...(you get the idea)
The Emu Oil comes in two bottle sizes, the 2 or 4 fl oz bottles. The 2 oz bottle runs $9.85 and the 4 oz bottle runs $18.20.
Pure Lanolin Lip Balm
The next product I received was the Pure Lanolin Lip Balm. Lips are another area that takes a hit during the winter months. While I may live in Florida, the dryer air and cooler temperatures can certainly wreak havoc. The wind is another crazy factor here in the South that we deal with all year round. So to say my lips could use some assistance is an understatement.
I received the four pack of lanolin tubes. They are also available in pots as well. The tubes come four to a pack and run $9.80 for the pack. This is another product that will last a long time as a little goes a long way. It adds a nice shine to your lips so it's great to wear all the time. You can wear it over your color or by itself.
You can throw it in your beach bag and wear it as you're playing in the water because it is sun, wind and water resistant. It has no flavor or smell so it's nice and natural. You do have to be careful of how much you apply just like with the Emu Oil. This would make a nice stocking stuffer or gift for any of your friends, family and fellow homeschool moms who need some TLC for their lips.
I keep one by my bed, one in my purse, one in a makeup pouch and the other is a backup. It's a great addition to your skin care regimen to keep your lips moisturized and protected.
