Wordless Wednesday

While reading a book on Robert E. Lee that my great aunt gave us at Christmas something neat popped out.

I had to look these up because I wasn't sure what they were. They are Sperry and Hutchinson Green Stamps. I found some information on them here. Thought they were pretty neat. You never know what you'll find when you open up a book ;)

  1. Funny! I knew right away when I saw these what they were, but they came from before your time. I remember Mama and Daddy saving these when they got them when they paid for groceries. You put them in a book and when you had enough, you could "purchase" stuff from a catalog. If you found something you really wanted, you would save up your stamps until you had enough. Good memories. :D
