We have been having a rough time here in our household. My kiddo has been having stomach troubles off and on for a few weeks. Last week we had a stomach virus on Thursday. Well the pains have been coming and going and more frequently coming than going lately. We went to the doctor yesterday and his hernia seems to be getting a little bigger. That is where his pain is centered so we are being referred to a pediatric surgeon. Surgeon is not a word I want tied to my kiddo but I want him better so... This morning we were up at 3:30 with his tummy bothering him. I think part of it is the hernia and still some remnants of that stomach bug last week. Whew! So that makes for a wild day for us already.
Mommy is going to be honest... It's hard for Mommy to be happy and easy going at 3:30 in the morning. It's hard for Mommy to deal with this without being able to fix it. Thankfully God knows that and when I opened up my Bible app this morning as I was almost in tears this is what I found. :
Psalms 30:5... "For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life; weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning
So this morning I am thankful for
- God's word and how He speaks and hears us when we are at our wits end.
- That we have a great children's hospital and specialists close by
- That we can get the help we need and hopefully soon for his tummy troubles..
- That God knows just what to say to this troubled Mommy's heart
