Happy 4th of July!!!
This week was great! We recently rebooted our homeschool and boy what a difference it makes! You can check out our reboot here and what we do to help us get refocused. So after we got ourselves back on track, we had some fun!
I have to say I love our library summer programs. They are simply amazing. This is one of my favorite times of summer. It really is so very hot right now and sometimes it's hard to even walk out the door. This gives us a fun place to stay cool and learn stuff at the same time. This week he had a Construction Junction program that lasted two hours. It was simply giving them the tools to build and build they did! He and his friends built all sorts of things.
As for our reboot of the homeschool day, we added in our third grade curriculum this week. We are still finishing up second grade math but everything else we moved on. This has helped us tremendously fill up our day and keep busy. Attitudes are much better and boredom is lost. :)
I have to say that I am loving the Growing with Grammar program we got this time. They are short and sweet lessons and he is filling up his day without being overloaded on one subject at a time. They are easy for him to understand and he's really learning the facts for writing and English. The spelling is also offering him a welcome challenge.
We have some fun planned for today and look forward to more programs next week and maybe, a couple of beach days ;).
How has your week gone? Are you still on summer break or has school still been going on for you too?
