Thankful Thursday

920. I'm very thankful for an amazing group of students I get to hang out with every single week. They push me to be on my toes, to laugh, and to enjoy life.

921. I'm thankful for my husband. This week we will celebrate 16 years of marriage. God has blessed us with an amazing life together and I can't wait to see what our future holds.

922. I'm thankful that he loves my team too. Course, when you marry a girl from Bama, you don't really have a choice. Or, at least, that is what he's said.

923. I'm thankful for the cooler weather we have been having. Finally feels like the holiday season here in the south.

924. I'm thankful for friends God has placed in my life. Those who never cease to push me to get past myself. Those who do not let me tap out but continue to encourage, correct, and sharpen me.

925. I'm thankful for shopping days with the fams

926. I'm thankful for homeschooling. It is tough, but it is so worth it.

927. I'm thankful for the amazing growth in our youth ministry. This is truly God at work and I get a front row view of it every day.

929. I'm thankful for exciting adventures and God experiences this week as we head to our annual youth conference.

910. I'm thankful for a sideline view of God working in other people's lives. There are some amazing testimonies of what God is doing, and I'm so thankful I get to watch as He continues working today.

911. I'm thankful for fall. It hasn't quite FELT like fall yet here in Florida, but it's coming.

912. I'm thankful for the young man my son is becoming. He is growing up entirely too fast, but it is awesome to watch God do His thing.

913. I'm thankful for the opportunity to be the chaplain for the local high school girl's basketball team for the 4th year. They are amazing young women and I love getting to know each of them as they journey through their high school careers.

914. I'm thankful for family close by

915. I'm thankful for quiet time in the morning

916. I'm thankful that I have a hubby who is supportive and my biggest fan

917. I'm thankful for peppermint mocha coffee being back. I'm still waiting till a little further into November to open it and use it, but I have it at the ready!

918. I'm thankful that even though it is a tough job some days, I get the chance to hang out with teens and walk with them. I'm thankful that God is allowing me to be in their lives and to see Him moving

919. I'm thankful for the tough days. The days when your body is just exhausted and your mind taps out.

900. I'm thankful for a fantastic youth night. It is amazing to watch God work in the lives of the young people in this generation.

901. I'm thankful for friends who constantly spur me on to keep pushing forward.

902. I'm thankful for reminders that no matter what is going on in the chaotic world around us, God is still in control.

903. I'm thankful for chats with friends who've moved away.

904. I'm thankful for pumpkin spice coffee. However, just a few cups is enough. I'm not a fanatic or anything... or am I???

905. I'm thankful for cool fall mornings and evenings. It gives us a break to relax and unwind from the 90 degree days.

906. I'm thankful for the sideline view I have of this guy growing up. It is way too fast for this Mama, but it is amazing.

907. I'm thankful for God providing opportunities that I never dreamed of before.

908. I'm thankful for the women at my church who pour into us younger generation with their wisdom. Each of us have lessons and insight we can share with those who are coming along behind us. Don't keep it to yourself!

909. I'm thankful for time with friends to just hang out and laugh. Laughter truly is the best medicine ever prescribed!

890. I'm thankful for time with old friends and making new ones.

891. I'm thankful for the honor of being a part of baptisms this past week when 10 people took the next step in their faith walk!

892. I'm thankful for an amazing group of teens that I get to hang out with weekly. They challenge me, push me to be better, and amaze me on a weekly basis!

893. I'm thankful for finding supplements that actually work for me! I'll have to share more about that later but just know, they work!

894. I'm thankful for the ability to homeschool and the freedom it can give you while spending time with your children.

895. I'm thankful that football season is around the corner...

896. I'm thankful for cuddles with my Molly girl.

897. I'm thankful for dirt on the floor. It means that my family is here tracking it in.

898. I'm thankful for good books that suck you in and you just can't stop till you've finished the whole thing!

899. I'm thankful for friends who send you a "no" button because they know exactly how hard it is for you to say no sometimes. Those same friends who encourage you to say no, when you need to!

881. For the sunshine. When it's the rainy season in Florida, boy does the sun seem like a long lost friend. Praying for all those around the nation who need relief from this rain as well.

882. Friends who continually surprise me every day with their amazingness.

883. Figuring out my coffee maker to make lattes and cappuccinos. It's so much fun!

884. My amazing hubby who is so supportive and always there to back me up or cheer me on when needed, and even sometimes when I didn't know I needed it.

870. I'm thankful for what God is doing in our lives. It is exciting, scary, and surely an adventure!

871. I'm thankful for the people He has placed in our lives. I'm also thankful for those He may have removed. While we may miss them, things like that happen for a reason.

872. I'm thankful for a summer with my kiddo. We don't usually take a full summer so this is TRULY an adventure!

873. I'm thankful for mentors that God placed in my life to bring me to where I'm at. Everyone comes into your life for a specific reason. Some for life and some for a season. Some stay with you even when they aren't in the same state anymore.

874. I'm thankful for the growing in God. It can be difficult, it can bring tears. But it is always for my good. Romans 8:28!

875. I'm thankful for a husband that supports me in everything I do. He is always my cheerleader whether he's building an amazing coffee cart or if he is simply sitting in the audience silently supporting me. He is my best friend, my protector, my shoulder to cry on, and my "honey you're crazy" reminder.

876. Being able to make a sugar-free vanilla latte at home.

877. People God sends in my path to encourage me when they don't even realize what they are doing.

878. The sunshine!

879. My dad. His birthday and Father's day is approaching fast. He's always been there to guide, direct, calm, and be a gentle hand when need be. I will never forget my wedding day when I was freaking out right before going in and he asked a silly question on what he was supposed to do that immediately calmed me down. I'm thankful for him, even when he is saying things I don't like/want to hear. Love you dad!

Thankful Thursday

I can't believe it's been almost a year since I wrote a post such as this one. That has to change... Life has been crazy busy the past 8 months and so much has gone on. I'm planning on getting back to blogging if it is only to come in once a week and share the amazing things God has done for us. Which, in all honesty, that's why I do this anyway. To share what awesomeness God is doing in and around us.

So, without further ado....

860. I'm thankful for coffee and for the little wall flower thingy's from Bath and Body Works that know I love coffee.

861. I'm thankful for the AMAZING services we've been having at church for this past several months. It has been unreal what God is doing in our church and our community. In our individual lives and the changes I've seen personally. God is still in the business of healing, saving, restoring, refining, and renewing!

862. I'm thankful that God has blessed me with two amazing boys! Yes. One of them may be over 6-feet tall, but he is still a little boy at heart. I love these two and the relationship they are building this year. It has been awesome to watch them over the past several months as Boo Bear is growing into a young man and as Daddy is helping him. 

863. I'm thankful for celebrating another birthday with this kiddo. He's growing up entirely too fast for Mama's heart and I almost can't keep up. 

864. I'm thankful for God's call on my life and that even when I thought I had wasted it, nothing is wasted. God still has a call and still has a plan, even when we fail to see it or don't catch on quite as soon as we should. He doesn't waste any experiences we go through and can use them for His glory. 

865. I'm thankful for fun ink pens with bright colors that can help make writing fun. Even when I don't want to and my hand says, no thanks! 

866. I'm thankful for the blessing of the books I need to finish my schooling, all the way through. Thank you to the one who blessed me with them and you know who you are! 

867. I'm thankful for friendships that can stay connected no matter how many miles are between us. 

868. I'm thankful for adventures coming up soon and some time away with family that is much needed!

869. I'm thankful for a team that I call family. That we work together in practice and on Sunday morning. That we lift each other up in prayer, give encouragement too and love. Faces change and people are moved down different paths, but that love and connection stays the same. Thank you Father for such an amazing privilege you've allowed me to sing and worship with this group!

850. I'm thankful for an amazing time this week watching the eclipse with my kiddo, Mimi, and Papa.

851. I'm thankful for a new coffee cup which I think fits perfectly.

852. I'm thankful for the book of James. It is not always easy to read but it is always full of life changing words.

853. I'm thankful for Turbo coffee.

854. I'm thankful that in the morning, very early in the morning, I can wear my hoodie cuz it's juuuusssttt cool enough in my office to. You know, without dying of heat stroke.

855. I am thankful that there is a season of slow down before the fall kicks in to high gear.

856. I'm thankful that no matter how many times you read a verse in the Bible, it can always bring a new inspiration.

857. I'm thankful for Wal-Mart Neighborhood pickup. It has totally changed my grocery shopping habits this month.

858. I'm thankful that God's got our back through every situation. Our backs, our fronts, our sides, up and down.

859. I'm thankful for a girls day last week with my mom and my bestie. It was a much needed time for all of us.

843. I'm thankful for my kiddos new love of Jeopardy. We bought the game a few weeks ago and have been playing it. He's also discovered the show and has been watching it every night. Fun for the whole family!
844. This kids personality... He's a trip and a half! I just love how his personality shines in everything he does.

845. I'm thankful for HUGE sales on items I love. This week I received an email for Bath and Body Works that made their soaps, which I adore, less than $3.00 a bottle. What!!!! I might have spent more than I could have thought about at the time, but hey... We are stocked up on soap for a while...

846. Thankful for a great 3 1/2 weeks of school so far. He's working hard and it shows!
847. I'm thankful for the giggles I hear between my kiddo and my hubby as they play.
848. I'm thankful for delicious new recipes to try

Thankful Thursday... Returns!

So, I'm back :). Well, blogging is back. I've been here but we've had an incredibly busy summer time. I always love this post so I figured it was time to bring it back. So, here we go!!!

830. I'm thankful for fun adventures with family. I wish my brother and sister in law lived closer but I'm thankful for the time we get with them! Thankful that Mimi and Papa are close so we can have impromptu field trips.

831. I'm thankful for date night with the hubby. I believe that no matter how long you've been married, you still need that special time. It's important to pour into your spouse and dedicate time to just them. It doesn't always have to be a date out. It could be a date in after the kiddos have gone to bed. It's all about connecting with your spouse!

832. I'm thankful for the rain. Although sometimes I wonder if it'll stop, I'm so very thankful for it.

833. I'm thankful for a fun and exciting week at VBS last week. I was blessed to work along with several other volunteers and our fearless leader ( as you see her below). It was an awesome week!!

834. I'm thankful that this kiddo had a blast. This was his first real VBS week. We've tried before but it just didn't work out. He had a blast!

835. I'm thankful for this kiddos sense of humor, his craziness and his compassion for others. I'm blessed to be called his mother. 

836. I'm thankful for time to menu plan and create grocery lists. Yes, I enjoy doing that. It helps me to feel organized and also helps with the budget. 

837. I'm thankful for finding cool, new places to check out. This is the sink in the restaurant we visited this past weekend. It was such a cool place and if you're a car lover, it's sure to please!

838. I am thankful for a smooth start to our new school year this year. Stay tuned tomorrow for a post on how our week went. 

839. I'm thankful for Godly people that surround my child and pour into him on a regular basis. I pray we always find those people to be around and surround ourselves with.

820. I'm thankful that no matter what, my blog is here for me to share feelings, thoughts, and vents sometimes.

821. I'm thankful I've developed a (obsession) love for sautéed spinach. It is soooo yummy and I am eating almost everyday.

822. I'm thankful for my job. I'm thankful that it allows me freedom to do things with my family while still supporting my family.

823. I'm thankful to be able to see family often.

824. I'm thankful for an amazing relationship between my hubby and kiddo. They amaze me everyday and I see such a wonderful friendship/relationship blooming between them. Yes, we still have to be mom and dad. However, precious memories are being made that will last a lifetime.

 825. I'm thankful for new experiences that have been fun and exciting. Tractor pulling is our new "thing" and it's really a fun event. If you've never been to one, find one near you and check it out!

826. I'm thankful for God's grace.

827. I'm thankful for this amazing girl. She's a blessing and yes I've been thankful for her before. But when you need some cuddle time and she jumps up and just snuggles, it deserves more gratefulness.

828. I'm thankful that the springtime is here. It's a beautiful time with great temperatures that we can enjoy being outside. You know before the death heat of summer hits in a couple weeks.

829. I'm thankful for those who stop by and read my blog. I never imagined I'd have anything to say much but I've been blessed to be blogging for several years now. People actually come by and read on occasion. (not just my Mom :)) I'm thankful for this platform to share thoughts, experiences, and words of encouragement that God places on my heart. I'm hoping that this year will be a year of more blogging than ever and can't wait to see what God has in store!

810. I'm thankful for cool weather and hoodies that are comfy and fuzzy.

811. I'm thankful that I got great results back from my regular blood work. Always nice to have the doc write smiley faces all over your lab results

812. I'm thankful for a surprise mid-week date night with my hubby. It's always fun time spent together when we get to sneak off for dinner.

813. I am thankful for the experiences I have had this past year and looking forward to what God has in store this year.

814. I'm thankful for coffee on those mornings I just want to sleep in instead of getting up and moving around.

815. I'm thankful for new adventures ahead. Planning on traveling more this year and it's exciting to just think about.

816. I'm thankful for those times when you know that you know that you know that you have a word for the year and a focus you feel drawn towards. It's an amazing thing and I am excited to see how it plays out.

817. I'm thankful for pens of all ink colors as I have quite a thing for them. (you think I'm kidding)

818. I'm thankful for crazy days and wacky adventures that you never know where they are going to take you.

819. I'm thankful for God's peace that passes any understanding we have here. I've seen it work in many instances in the past few months and it still amazes me.

800. Wow! I'm thankful I've reached 800! This is an amazing thing and we are almost to 1000 gifts! What a blessing!

801. I'm thankful for normalcy returning. While we enjoy all the holiday season has to bring, normalcy is amazing as well.

802. I'm thankful for school progressing this week. I was concerned as it was our first week back, but so far, so good.

803. I'm thankful that Boo Bear's science classes start up today. He loves those classes and I love that he enjoys them.

804. I'm thankful for a church family that treats my family as their own.

805. I'm thankful for amazing adventures last year and excited to see what this year holds.

806. I'm thankful for post-it notes. Yes. Post it notes. I have them everywhere. Without them, I'd be a mess. :)

807. I'm thankful that when I feel down or discouraged on my weight loss progress, there's always someone that comments on how great I am looking. It is very, very slow going and I get easily discouraged when the scale doesn't move or people who've been eating like I do for a very short time have already lost more than me. (I'm being real here for a minute). But God always sends someone along to encourage me. I have more problems than normal that fight me everyday on this process so I have to keep on keeping on. And I am :)

808. I'm thankful for growth in the youth group. It's been almost a year since I started working with the group and the growth has amazed all of us leaders.

809. I'm thankful for clean fresh sheets. Nothing like slipping into the bed at the end of a long day and inhaling that fresh out of the laundry smell.

790. I'm thankful for an amazing Christmas time spent with family.

791. I'm thankful that we get to spend some time with our best friends this coming weekend to celebrate the year together.

792. I'm thankful that through all the mess this past month, that I've been close to my parents to assist and that there is starting to be a light at the end of this tunnel.

793. I'm thankful that no matter what, everything has a reason and a purpose. Sometimes we don't see that reason or purpose, but it still doesn't happen just because. There's a lesson to be learned. Sometimes by us and sometimes by those who are around us as we go through tough situations.

794. I'm thankful for my amazing hubby that never ceases to amaze me. He just gets me. Even his gifts to me this year were so... me :). Love you babe!

 795. I love these two more than words can ever express. They are my laughter, my adventure, my excitement. They keep me on my toes. Literally... with LEGO's and Nerf darts running rampant.

796. I'm thankful for amazing friends and family that are there no matter what is going on. I can count on them and am thankful that God has placed these people in my path and in my life.

797. I'm thankful for seeing Christmas through his eyes. Not only seeing the birth of our Savior through his perspective, but the magic that this time of year brings. He is an amazing gift from God!

798. I'm thankful for this little bloggy part of my world. I haven't blogged near as much as I wanted to this past year because things have gotten crazy. You can see what my plans are to do about that this year with my post from Tuesday.

799. I'm thankful for God pushing me out of my comfort zone this year. I don't know what He is thinking but it has to be big. I was given amazing opportunities over the past year and they were unbelievable and something I never could have even imagined. God had it, He has this next year in His hands, and I get to go along for the ride.

780. I am thankful to have celebrated 13 years of wedded bliss with this awesome guy this past week. He's amazing and more than I could have ever asked or dreamed for.

781. I'm thankful for healing for my mom in a very scary time recently. Thankful that she's home and mending can continue. We have lots of fun stuff to get into the next few weeks.

782. I'm thankful for my bucket list adventure we had this weekend. It was something I've always wanted to do and we were blessed to get to go. We went to the Iron Bowl!! In case you didn't know, that's the big Alabama/Auburn game. If you can't tell from the above pic, I'm an Alabama fan. My husband is a Bama fan because that's what you do when you marry a girl from Alabama. :)

783. I'm thankful  that I actually got to see the bands. You know when you watch it on TV they don't show that part. Yes. I'm a band nerd. :) But when you spend 6 years in the band, that's what happens HAHAHA!

784. I'm thankful that in the pictures that were taken this weekend I didn't feel uncomfortable. I felt better in pics than I have in awhile. I'm thankful that THM has been such a blessing to me.

785. I'm thankful that even though I went way off plan this weekend with eating, I didn't gain. Maintained but not gain is always good when you're in the holiday season :).

786. I'm thankful that even though I'm a southern girl who loves okra, I've found a new way to get in this healing amazing veggie...

787. I'm thankful for amazing friends that stepped up and helped or offered help during this crazy time recently. We are truly blessed!

788. I'm thankful that I can use things I've learned over the past year for my back pain to hopefully ward off the potential debilitating pain that is trying to rear it's ugly head. Between a cruddy bed mattress at the hotel, standing all day Saturday, and a 12-hour car ride home, it's trying to be fussy. Thankfully God has led me to some amazing stretches and techniques over the past year to keep it at bay...

789. I'm thankful for time away with the hubster. We haven't done that in nearly 10 years or more and it was a much needed, much valued trip together. Course we both missed our kiddo but we needed the time together to do something just us. It was amazing and cherished!

770. I'm thankful for an amazing time at Fusion this past weekend. We took 12 teens to this amazing youth convention and had a blast. I can't wait till my kiddo is ready to go too! It's going to be a blast.

771. I'm thankful for new exciting adventures in homeschool. We are working through this first book and Boo Bear is loving it so far! Me too :) It's quite interesting and fun to read!

772. I'm thankful for hoodies, long warm PJ pants and coffee. I know I've probably mentioned that before but it's getting cooler and cooler, (Which I love but I need my hoodie to enjoy it :))

773. I'm thankful for a normal school week. It seems like forever since we had a normal, do school everyday, work together week.

774. I'm thankful for Khan Academy in math. It's helping us get through some of our tougher sections and he's enjoying it.

775. I'm thankful that so far, so good with this normal allergy season. Boo Bear's allergy shots are working well and he's not having near as many issues as he typically does.

776. I'm thankful for my BFF. She's an amazing chic who is always there for me whenever I need her. Even sometimes when I didn't realize I needed her, she's there. Love you Heather O!

777. I'm thankful for new connections made at one conference that are leading into connections at other conferences.

778. I'm thankful for the giggles that have come since I discovered SnapChat. (Thank you Heather S.) We've had a blast giggling and making photos.

779. I'm thankful for a restful next couple of weeks to recharge, reconnect, and revamp myself.

760. I'm thankful for warm coffee on cool mornings.

761. I'm thankful for hoodies and comfy PJ pants on those same cool mornings.

762. I'm thankful for fall days where we can be creative outside without it being so uncomfortable. (Yes we might have been working on Christmas ornaments already)

763. I'm thankful that no matter who is President, no matter what the world may say that God is still King and always will be.

764. I'm thankful that God hears us when we pray. We may not always see the answer we want or when we think it should be done, but He is always listening and answers us. He has our best interest in mind!

765. I'm thankful for the Word. I'm thankful that no matter what is going on around us, we can always get the answers that we need right there.

766. I'm thankful for a new adventure creating a War Journal. (future post on that later)

767. I'm thankful for days to just hang out and be.

768. I'm thankful for the opportunity to co-lead the youth group and work with them. They push me to think harder and deeper than I've done before.

769. I'm thankful for school on the go. Even though we have busy days running sometimes, school can go with us wherever we are. (Boo Bear would disagree that this is a good thing, but ya know....)

740. I'm thankful that no matter how long it takes me, I can always get back to blogging. That's where my heart comes out. That's where my thoughts can overflow and hopefully help someone out there, if only just me.

741. I'm thankful for these two amazing women that I've been blessed to get to know. They are awesome women of God and I was honored to spend the weekend with them a few weeks ago at a women's retreat.

 742. I'm thankful that I've been blessed with an amazing man to call my husband. He gets better and better everyday and I love him more now than we first started out our journey together. Didn't understand how that could be possible but I do.

 743. I'm thankful for a Pastor that pours into our youth, kids, and adults alike. He's been an amazing blessing and encouragement to me and my entire family. He takes time to stop and listen to my 10 year old when others might pass him by. He truly wants to connect with the youth group and I'm honored to call him my friend and Pastor.

744. I'm thankful that my parents are closer now and we can see them whenever we get a hankering too. I miss my brother and sis-in-law and wish we could all be in the same state!

745. I  love this wild crazy group of people I'm blessed to work with at church. They never cease to amaze me!! When we step up and work together, nothing's beyond their talents!

746. I am thankful for another Halloween event that we could reach out to the community. Many people may not understand why I love this event and that's okay. I do this because I pray that maybe one day, someone, somewhere that came through that event will be changed.

747. I am thankful that my kiddo and I both had fun this year with our costumes. ( Yes I can be thankful for that. Sometimes those costumes are hard work)

748. I'm thankful for normalcy returning. I do love events but whew! I'm pooped!! LOL

749. I'm thankful for new opportunities God is opening up this season.

750. I'm thankful for science class and beautiful days that we can play outside.

751. I'm thankful for friendships that last through ups, downs, sideways, and frontways, and backways.

752. I'm thankful for Gingersnap cookies that are something I can eat. Like THM friendly cookies!!!

753. I'm thankful for Papa coming to the rescue when Math has us all in tears and ready to pull our hair out.

754. I'm thankful that God gives me mercy and grace even when I ran from what I knew He wanted me to do. For such a time as this...

755. I'm thankful for this wild and crazy, smart and outrageous, handsome, compassionate kid. He's more than I could have ever imagined in my son. God truly blessed my socks off when He chose me to be his mama.

756. I'm thankful that even when God gently nudges you, ( or in my case shoves) you out of your comfort box that it's so amazing things can happen. Growth takes place. Adventure awaits! Don't be afraid to get out of that box you've put yourself, and sometimes even God, in.

757. I'm thankful that Thanksgiving is right around the corner. It means I can decorate for Christmas soon :). I also love that everyone seems a little kinder, a little more grateful for things that we sometimes take for granted.

758. I am glad that God is still in the miracle business!

759. I'm so thankful for Christian music on the radio. We can listen in the car, in the house, wherever we might be!

Thankful Thursday

730. I'm thankful for cooler temperatures finally starting to make their arrival in the South. This means we can go outside to school!

731. I'm thankful for the fact that Hurricane Matthew stayed off land. It could have been so much worse than it was.

732. I'm thankful for my amazing computer awesome Dad who came and saved the day this past weekend when my computer TRIED to give me the BSOD.

733. I'm thankful for amazing opportunities in our small town, like seeing the traveling Vietnam Veteran Memorial Wall.

734. I'm thankful that even though I've taken time from my blog, it's always here for me to come back to.

735. I'm thankful for caramel apple tea, pumpkin spice coffee, and all things fallish.

736. I'm thankful for God's amazing adventures this year. This has TRULY been a year that God has pushed me right smack out of my comfortable zone I was in.

737. I'm thankful that even when times are not great, that God always is.

738. I'm thankful that we have made some amazing connections and friends where we are.

739. I'm thankful that no matter how big my dream might seem to me, that it's nothing compared to God's big dreams. He is not scared by my dream or goals. He's got even bigger ideas in store!
